This delightfully easy and beautiful plant spreads over a large area, creating a cascade of bright purple flowers over a long periods, even a few in winter. Smaller and more finely divided leaves than other verbena varieties, it can tolerate cooler conditions, and semi-shade as well as sun. Drought-tolerant, needing good drainage. Excellent over walls, in large troughs, and combine with other plants to make delightful long-flowering displays. Gravel and sand gardens, at the back of a rock garden.
