Thalictrum minus

One of the most delicate of Thalictrums, with foliage evidently reminiscent of maidenhair ferns. It bears small, nodding, long-lasting flowers of a unique yellowish plum-brown. It is great in a woodland or in the border as a filmy filler. Part shade or sun. Better soils preferred. 30cm. Native from Northern Africa to Siberia on rough ground, dunes and at higher altitudes too. This pretty much negates the good soil bit above. So give it a go, even if you are in a tough environment, as it will be a toughie too!
