Thalictrum kiusianum

This diminutive and delightful woodland plant from Japan will colonise through light leaf-mould soil in part shade. Sprays of tiny rounded leaves and heads of fluffy rosy-mauve flowers stand only a few centimetres above soil level on wiry stems. Slowly but surely makes a small dense mat. 

So slow to bulk up, hence the price.
