Soldanella montana

Soldanellas are a favourite alpine flower, luckily I have seen them recently in the Spanish Pyrenees, but they are widespread and gorgeous with their early frilly flowers on the delightful foliage. 10cm tall. Relatively easy in well draining moist soils. Best in a pot, trough or in the rock garden with some shade.  Appreciate a bit of humus.
