Soldanella montana

Soldanellas are a favourite alpine flower, luckily I have seen them recently in the Spanish Pyrenees, but they are widespread and gorgeous with their early frilly flowers on the delightful foliage. 10cm tall. Easy in well draining moist soils, make sure they  As long as they aren't swamped by neighbours. Best in a pot, trough or in the rock garden with some shade. Appreciate a bit of humus. Large plants
