Soldanella carpatica syn? S. pusilla

Diminutive.

Soldanellas are a favourite alpine flower, this is a smaller variety than S.montana so keep an eye on it in troughs and pots or crevices and give it a little shade. Hardy and easy with good drainage, moisture and some humus.  Diminutive, for the fairies!  So make sure they aren't swamped by neighbours or weeds. I have both forms/species/synonyms labelled, one is supposedly from dolomitic regions... but I cannot tell which is which. Obviously they both do just as well in potting mix and ordinary garden soil. 9cm pot.
