Silene armeria

Get this one and have it always. A must have addition to the repetoire of colourful joy, all summer and beyond. 

This delightful annual or biennial has greyish foliage and clusters of bright pink or red flowers which are very valuable as they are opening for most of the summer. It will seed about gently and widely and be a delight for years to come. Just let it go wild in your garden. The rosette is a grey green which looks a bit like Sweet William, followed by masses of flowers on each stalk in summer. Let a few seed and rip out the tatty ones to keep a mass of colour until its truely winter.
