Saxifraga x arendsii small pink variety

Mossy saxifrage. An easy and attractive cushion-forming plant, which covers the ground, and themselves with flower, within a year of planting. 

Slightly larger rosettes than the white form, this variety has small, still short stemmed red/pink  flowers they fade to white as they age, giving a nice two tone effect.  6cm x 50cm  or more spread over time. They like a fertile and well draining but moist soil. Full sun or part shade. Lime lover.

In pots on the ground they can attacked by vine weevil larvae (Note that their parents walked to the plant), eating the roots in winter, some lawn prills will help in early winter, easy to re-propagate. Open ground may prevent wine weevil attack, unless you have them all about.
