Saxifraga federici-augustii/ Saxifraga grisebachii

Lovely rosettes topped with hairy wonderment.

Saxifraga grisebachii or more correctly an intraspecific form is S. federici-augusti subsp. grisebachii

Not sure of the differences, they are slight.

They exhibit a reddish/purple glandular indumentum or hairs on their flower stems which makes for a very striking and impressive spike. Large, flat, lime encrusted leaves.

None available, slow to propagate.
