One of the most ornamental burnets. It is a clump-forming perennial with profuse and attractive fluffy, reddish-pink, bottlebrush flowers, elegantly swaying in the breeze in summer (January-February). Glaucous-leaved and the finest foliage of all. Each round grey-green leaf has an attractive matt bloom, with a finely serrated edge of deep pink. The fluffy, rather squat flowers on this 75-90 cm high plant are a strong rose pink and they bend over slightly as they mature... This info I have gleaned from elsewhere... mine is not quite that delicious, perhaps I am not poetic enough! One thing is useful about this plant though is that once it has established, it clumps up well by runners. Not invasive, but useful. Flowering begins in summer and continues for a couple of months at least. Beautiful in autumn. Full sun to part shade. Any soil. Hardy and tough
