Salvia glutinosa

An unusual European salvia, is long flowering over summer and beyond with yellow, streaked with rusty tones. As it comes from bush clearings and deciduous forests, it is fine in sun and part shade. Big heart shaped leaves which reduce in winter to a basal few. Foliage and flowers sticky to the touch hence its species name. 1m high.
