A flowering carpet, and very early too.
Afghanistan to South Tadzhikistan and West Himalaya. Stemless flowers of glowing rose pink appear amongst the compact foliage of this little creeping carpet in very early spring and late winter. H5cm x W25cm. Moist soil, shade. Ideal for crevices. If you wonder about the blossoms being the same for this and P. clarkei and even P. warshenewskyana, I cannot see the difference, but theoir sizes, flowering times and petiole length vary. This is a larger one with bigger leaves that can reach up to 10-30 cm tall, in early spring. Deciduous.
