Primula florindae

Himalayan cowslip are also known as the Tibetan cowslip, the largest and most impressive species of cowslip. They make magnificent waterside plants and can grow up to one metre high (not round here) and the same across in good conditions.  The delightfully spice scented flowers come in a range of yellow, copper or raspberry red. For us in our poor sandy ground Its leaves grow up to 45cm long and clusters of up to 80, nodding, autumnal shaded flowers, best in very moist soil and sun or part sun making impressive, self-seeding clumps. 

and will hybridise with Primula sikkimensis, waltonii and alpicola.
