Primula heladoxa
Primula heladoxa
Whorls of bright pink fragrant fl on tall strong stems. One of the easiest Asiatic primulas, long-lived and in good soil or moist conditions, one of the world's biggest and most impressive primulas. A great series of posts to read nd lend much from are Abbie Jury's writings. They are all good, but this one is interesting for several reasons. Do take a look. https://jury.co.nz/tag/primula-helodoxa/
They have a natural stream and Primula helodoxa was self sowing everywhere and looking very pretty. However on a natural waterway it can be a menace and to their credit they did the right thing and removed them all. I am lucky to have a stream which is man-made and flows into a soak pit just down the road, so I feel I can get away with them self sowing. I have used their photograph, many thanks to them for all the inspiration.
