Of all the phlox, and even all the woodland phlox, the rabbits eat this only this one for me. They have kept it a tight mat! It must be very sweet in more ways than one. Carpets of lightly fragrant palest lilac-blue flowers appear in December, over fresh green, hairy leaves. Grow in large clumps at the edge of a border or beneath deciduous trees or a rose garden. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Cool part shade. Trim after flowering. Rare and lovely.
