Looks excactly the same as 'Daniel' to me. I have cut the Daniel entry and just use this one. A bigger leaved and elegant mossy phlox covered in pink blooms on low-growing compact mat of small, needle-like bright green leaves. Flowers from spring to early summer, a weed-suppresser. A good one, the boldest and biggest, to mass plant. Hardy, Sun 60+cmW 15cm PINK compilation: 1 Pink cushion=Daniel, 2 Rose cushion, 3 Betty (candy pink), 4 5 Red admiral, 6 Red wings, 7 Camla (smaller flowers than Daniel) 1 small white, 2 large white, 3 Boothman's variety, 4 White with pink eye, 5 Tammy, 6 P.bifida, 7 Brittonii rosea, 8 Daniel=Pink Cushion, 9 Rose cushion, 10 Scarlet flame, 11 Red Admiral, 12 Purple beauty The photograph taken in Japan of phlox masses under trees is by TANAKA Juuyoh (田中十洋) <https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0>, via Wikimedia Commons |
