Penstemon cardinalis regalis

Royal Red Penstemon is a super showy species from open spots in pine woods and canyons in New Mexico and Utah, USA. It bears bright red nodding flowers. Rare and special. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. An excellent plant for the rock garden. My own attribution. Still small but only a few.
