Bright and winter cheerful. A must have pot plant, forget it behind the shed in summer...
An autumn blooming (April to June in habitat) South African species with a leafy, often branching stem, and grey-green tri-foliolate leaves and pink flowers. It grows on flats and slopes in the north and southwest Cape. It is one of the largest species with a strongly erect, 30cm, main stem that appears from each bulb. The bulbs can get very large as well. Autumn rains get it cracking so keep it largely dry until you would like some winter cheer! A free draining mix is needed. Oxalis do not like frosts in the main, but if you get a few spare corms, try them in a well drained spot. They don't spread like their super weedy cousins.
2 Dormant bulbs.
