 A beautiful and huge garden to visit "Meet us in  the country" Selwyn Open Garden Visits

A large, carefully designed, thirty year old garden, garden rooms including roses, vegetables, and pleached hornbeams. Two ponds, a stream, perennial borders and new wave planting. Japanese inspired cloud pruned garden with a new moss  garden underway. Extensive plant collection. Winter garden being developed. Native arboretum and plantings. Shingle garden. Massed plantings of bulbs; snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells, camassias and lilies in succession. Trilliums, hostas and fritillarias, large leaved rhododendrons. Nursery with display beds  www.ortel.nz on site, open at 11am, 1pm and 3pm each day. Tea and light refreshments available.

10-4 Thursday, Friday and Saturday only.
