Lachenalia bulbifera

One of the most striking and robust members of this diverse group, Lachenalia bulbifera is an easily grown bulbous plant that really deserves a place in patio containers, window boxes and rock garden pockets where there is no frost. In saying that I threw a few into my sand bed in the open here in  frosty West Melton and the leaves are all fine. Up to 35cm,  large coral flowers with green tips that last well. Easy. Mealy bugs can be an issue indoors indoors, I have never seen any. Healthy flowering bulbs.
