Ixia viridiflora

Rare spikes of striking aqua-blue flowers with a contrasting black velvety eye.

South Africa winter rainfall bulb of exquisite colour. A spike of up to 12 beautiful turquoise green blooms with contrasting black 'velvety' eye on 80cm plus stems. For full sun, an easy bulb, but no hard frosts, otherwise good moisture while growing in winter, preferably dry thereafter. If you are in a frosty clime, you coiuld place under the eaves facing north or an interesting pot subject. Especially avoid excessive cold and wet in winter.
