A low growing "walking or roof iris". At only 30cm it makes a splash of deep mauve-purple-blue in late October and early November. Adapyable in part shade or full sun. Once estalished it is drought tolerant and will naturalise. But it isn't a rampant spreader. Hardy despite coming from Central and SW China and Myanmar. Appreciate a bit of mulch in the off season to cover the rhizomes but only about 5cm maximum.
