Gunnera prorepens
Gunnera prorepens
COMING SOON
Native plant. A larger leaf than monoica, still slightly brownish and less toothsome! Needs it wet. When happy it will send its runners off colonising quite large areas, but it is easy to keep it in check. The leaves hug the soil so it can prevent weeds from growing. Nice red fruits follow undistinguished flowers in the females. I am afraid I have not identified a sex for these plants. Like all our Gunnera they are monoecious. 2-4cm high without fruits |
