Gladiolus tristis

Get them now, they flower early in spring and can't be posted when too big.

Native to South Africa, but quite hardy. A very special winter growing Gladiolus with a wonderful scent in the evenings, flowers in September. This form is especially beautiful, a sort creamy  pure form, as opposed to slightly bricky stained colourations. A small, tall pot of them. At least a couple of flowering ones plus littlies to boost the patch. If left alone the seed will germinate and the patch will be a large one quite soon. Otherwise remove the seed.
