Gentiana pnumonanthe

Looking amazing now in the garden, mid January. Such an intense violet blue. I let this one slip through the cracks. I will collect seed and have small plants next year. 

Marsh Gentian. Clusters of up to 5cm long trumpets from dark green, needle-like leaves.  The common name is not helpful as it grows in average, neutral to acid soil, although moist is fine too. Rare and unusual!
