Looking amazing now in the garden, mid January. Such an intense violet blue. 

Marsh Gentian. Clusters of up to 5cm long trumpets from dark green, needle-like leaves.  The common name is not helpful as it grows in average, neutral to acid soil, although moist is fine too. Rare and unusual! Pan European, UK to South European Russia.
