Easy plant for part sun or shade, great under rhododendrons, roses or other shrubs. A wonderful backdrop for pink and red tulips in early spring. It will survive while other perennials shoot through it for summer display. Suppresses many weeds. Scented purple flowers sit happily on the deep burgundy leaves. Flowers in very early spring. Tolerates some drought, bouncing back when it rains again. 12 cm
