Filipendula ulmarina

Meadow sweet. A deciduous easy care and delightful plant with masses of frothy, tiny creamy-white flowers in summer. Originally from moist meadows it is a tough cookie and very tolerant of sun, dry, shade and more. It is a great companion in the border needing little to keep it in check.  It could be used in a meadow and simply mown in winter. 90cm high in bloom. Great in shay places. Larger divided leaves and rhizomatous spread more than the clumping F. vulgrais.  Decisduous.
