Epimedium x versicolor ‘Sulphureum'
Epimedium x versicolor ‘Sulphureum'
Just split up, take advantage of a good deal, plant a few to get an instant clump.
Many synonyms, E. macranthum, E. luteum and more. A hardy, plant-it-where-you-like plant. The fastest spreading rhizomatous epicedium, drought tolerant when established but happiest in light shade and moist soils. They are all fairly tough during mid summer and very hardy. A dense mound of reddish green leaves and sulphur yellow sprays in spring. Chop the leaves off before flowering to see them best. 50-60cm spreads to 1m eventually.
