Daphne cneorum

Garland or Rock Daphne. A nice prostrate, evergreen habit with masses of rich pink fragrant flowers in spring. I saw a lot of it on the Spanish Pyrenees on alpine meadows, patches of pinks all about. So not too hot but it is very tough really. I have one in a partially shaded situation where soil is moist most of the time but it is well drained in my rock garden. I have another in the bulb garden where it hangs out with other bush Daphne’s. Ideal as a groundcover and for rock gardens. 30-50cm H, 60cm W and more with time. Photo of smaller plants I have a few older ones which are a good size.
