Woodland Crocus. Among the earliest to flower, this boasts elegant blossoms of pale lavender with a silvery reverse and a long silvery tube holding the floweer aloft. Full sun in spring before the leaves overhead appear.
Especially useful in mass plantings, both because they are easy and because they seed! So you will eventually get little carpets if you dot plants about. See them in my early bulb meadow with eranthis and Cyclamen coum.
