NZ native. Puawhananga. The larger flowers are bright white and appear in the spring. Scented. A vigorous, evergreen clematis with a mounding, branching habit and small dark green leaves. Good for rockeries and as ground cover, scrambling through plants in a border. Great to emerge from hebes to increase the flowering times! Sun for the tops. Potentially can reach 9m. Endemic. North, South and Stewart Islands. Naturalised on Chatham Island. |
