| A low-growing clematis, bearing small blue bell-shaped flowers with twisted sepals, from early summer to autumn. A deciduous, clump-forming, non-climbing woody subshrub to about 1m tall, with elliptical green leaves. Nodding, bell-shaped mid-blue bell shaped flowers. They pop out of long hairy buds from late spring. Sepals are twisted and the flowers are followed by fluffy seed heads. Central and Eastern Europe above 2000m. In windy areas it might need support or better still utilise other plants.
