A special flowering, drought tolerant rareity. A dessert willow-looking begonia.
Southern California's desert regions. The desert willow is a small, multi-trunk tree, fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of pink, lavender, and white. These are seedlings so we don't know. The flowers attract pollinators. Narrow leaves give this plant its name, but it is a member of the bignonia family. It produces long seed pods and is deciduous. Plant in full sun and sandy soil. Minimal supplementary water but can enjoy some summer irrigation. Hardy.
