Campanula portenschlagiana old name C. muralis

The Dalmation Bellfower. Lovely bells of purple blue. Summer flowering, gentle spreading for me, but others find it travels about under and overground. Some campanula like to spread, if you want to retrain them, try planting them in a bottom-less pot. Perfect. Sun or part sun 10cm H. 15cm high. excellent for troughs and rock gardens or the front of the border. Will happily cover rubble and stone walls where there are crevices to colonize. It is supposedly a good idea to hedge clip the spent flowers off to encourgae strong repeat flowering, otherwise it just repeats....
