Cute and snappy (in more ways than one)

Creeping Snap Dragon. A low scramble of downy grey foliage and chubby pink flowers in abundance throughout summer. H15cm W30cm. Warm sunny position. Lovely in a pot on the patio where it can form a cushion. Drapes over low walls and in rock gardens and troughs in a delightful manner. Delightful amongst steps. Long flowering delight. It likes poor stony soil, good drainage. A delicate looking plant with a red bloom on the foliage in winter. Perfect in shingle and recommended by Olivier Filippi, in his Mediterranean garden books. I have visited his garden and was so impressed! Easily snapped in transit or when weeding. So don't put it on the dog or cat's path! |
