A rare alpine plant native to the mountainous regions of Pakistan, Burma, Nepal and Tibet. Plants have a tufted, clump-forming habit, and lovely pale blue flower buds butst open vivid white. Appearing in a flush in Spring and then sporadically until it dies back for winter. Prefers a moist but free draining position in part shade to sun as long as it isn't too hot. Lovely in troughs and containers, a woodland or front of a shady border.
