Freight and Pick Up

There is a minimum spend of $45  to cover the time involved in selecting, packing  and posting orders.

I will process orders on Monday or sometimes on Tuesday .

I am learning the rates for EShip. Please bear with me as I sort this out. There much support, but the tracking is better at this end and the delivery more prompt.

On your notes specify a shady place to have the parcel left, especially in the warmer months.

Often plants weigh less than we think, while you are charged for up to 5kg,  excess postage is always refunded.

Occasionally they weigh more than 5kg. This will cost extra. 

Note that rural deliveries incur a surcharge of approximately $5.70 per order. I am covering the difference at present while I work this out. Please include this in your address and pay the surcharge. Otherwise your plants may go missing or arrive too late and will not be replaced, only credited if they are Ok when they return.  Sometimes, the net cost isn' t much more. But I always refund. I am charged the full amount YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED.

It is expected that at least 10 plants, (often many more, up to 5kg) can be squeezed into a wine box safely in summer, more in winter.  Some plants are larger and may require additional shipping. Additional plants may require a larger box. In both cases I will notify you of the extra charges. So far everyone has been happy to pay any excess after shipping, so I will assume this will continue and send plants anyway, so that you get them more quickly. Thank you!

 

Freight across town, Christchuch, will be: $9.00

Freight within the South Island (excluding the Chathams) will probably be:

$16 including GST and packaging for less than 5kg. This will be a overnight service. Sometimes the cost is less and I will refund the difference. For example if it is a light parcel.

The North Island (and Chathams) will be:

$29 including GST and packaging. Maximum 5kg for this fee. This is expected to be a less than three day service. 

NOTE Larger parcels/more plants: If 5kg is exceeded or a larger box is needed, the postage jumps up a little. You will be informed after shipping and a bank account  number will be sent. Thanks for looking after this. E ship is much cheaper than my old system of dropping to the post shop. So while the prices may look worse than they did, there will often be a refund to you.

To pick your order up from the nursery, please email and arrange a suitable time for both parties.
