It is a variable species with many different varieties. It has very interesting basal leaves that are jointed and have 2 to 12 narrow leaflets, often folded lengthwise. Flowers are solitary, yellow, white or pale rosy violet, (this one is yellow) often purple on the outer margin. Autumn blooming.  5-15 cm. As a\u003c\/span\u003eutumn rains get it cracking, keep it largely dry until you would like some winter cheer! A free draining mix. Oxalis do not like frosts in the main, but if you get a few spare corms, try them in a well drained spot.
