iris-tectrorum
Iris tectrorum

A low growing "walking or roof iris". At only 30cm it makes a splash of deep mauve-purple-blue in late October and early November. Adapyable in part shade or full sun. Once estalished it is drought tolerant and will naturalise. But it isn't a rampant spreader. Hardy despite coming from Central and SW China and Myanmar. Appreciate a bit of mulch in the off season to cover the rhizomes but only about 5cm maximum.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0554/9991/5397/files/IMG_1180_529ca153-da5f-48af-bcd2-ebf9e6da97e4.jpg?v=1793578430
